Base Set illustrators

Four artists are credited across the 102 cards of the 1999 Pokémon Base Set. The counts below are counted from the fetched checklist, not estimated.

Credits fetched from the pokemontcg.io Base Set endpoint on 2026-09-01 (https://api.pokemontcg.io/v2/cards?q=set.id:base1). The credit line is the whole record: we hold no biography, no dates and no image for this illustrator, and this page states none.

• Ken Sugimori44 cards
• Keiji Kinebuchi38 cards
• Mitsuhiro Arita19 cards
• Tomoaki Imakuni1 cardsone card — its own page would repeat that card’s page, so it is not built (doc 69 §5)

An illustrator gets a page at 8 cards or more. Below that the page would contain nothing its single card page does not already say, so the credit renders as plain text here and on the card itself.
